HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) — Thousands turned out in Tennessee to say goodbye to Steve McNair, and people in his native state were doing the same Saturday to give the ex-NFL quarterback one of the biggest funerals in recent Mississippi history.

"We're going to have church this morning, and we're going to praise God for Steve's life," said gospel singer Dottie Peoples, a close friend of McNair's mother, Lucille.

I just wish they would say the same thing for those who were only SUSPECTED of committing sins. Whereas McNair obviously was unfaithful to his wife, Michael Jackson was only SUSPECTED of wrongdoing and was never proven to be guilty by a court of law or his detractors. They only point to the baby dangling and having white children as proof that he shouldn't be honored. PLEASE.
